Well...our little bundle of joy, Peyton Jay Heath, decided to enter this world last Wednesday morning...August 29th at 10:50! He weighed 7lbs 0.4oz and was 19in long.
It was wonderful! Well, the meeting our youngest son part...NOT the 15 hour labor part! Little Peyton was scheduled to be induced Thursday morning, but he decided on Tuesday evening to come on his own. Right after dinner, for the first time ever, my labor started by my water breaking! So off we went to the hospital. It ended up being my longest, and most uncomfortable labor by far, but finally late Wednesday morning he came. Once again, we did not have a name picked out when we got to the hospital. So little Peyton remained Baby Heath until Thursday morning, when we finally got a chance to iron it all out. Oh, names are so hard for us. And then Thursday morning we got to bring this precious little boy home...
And he has just been absolutely wonderful! My mom, dad, sister, my two nephews and my niece were able to join us for baby Peyton's birth (they were actually on the road all night Tuesday night and came straight to the hospital). They stayed all weekend and just left today (and there have been lots of tears over that). But it was just wonderful having them here. The kids had a blast and they were a HUGE help...I barely lifted a finger AND my house stayed pretty straightened and clean!
Lily is really enjoying her new baby brother. She and Daniel started school this week, so everyday after school she would come right in and want to hold baby Peyton.
Daniel has also loved baby Peyton. He would rush in as well and come straight for the baby. He also keeps asking me if this is really real or if its a dream. :)
And of course Austin is pretty enthralled with him as well. He never lasts too long holding him, but he really likes to look at him and poke him and kiss him.
We are just so blessed. He is such a precious, adorable, snuggly baby and I just want him to stay like this forever. I could look at him all day long. I love him. Welcome to our family Peyton Jay! We are so blessed to have you and look forward to all the wonderful memories we'll make together!
